Matthew and Bernadette are sorry to announce that Humble Bumble has now closed.

thank you so much to everyone who has supported us over the years, those who have joined us on our incredible journey. We wish you all well and hope you carry on supporting local, living sustainably and making small changes that together can truly change the world

Based near Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, we are lucky enough to live in our own little bit of paradise. We look out over the Cumbrian Fells, a train potters by at the end of our garden, and the land that was wilderness when we arrived is slowly being turned into an environment that supports us and our business.

All the herbs and wildflowers used in our products are grown in our garden, they are dried hanging in an old Cumbrian barn where we make our soaps and shampoo bars.
We package items with sustainable, non-plastic, recyclable packaging and sell through local markets, select stores (see below) and online.

We make products that are sustainable, have a low carbon footprint and are environmentally friendly. We grow everything naturally, building an environment that supports and encourages; biodiversity, natural pollinators and bugs, building our business alongside the ebb and flow of the natural world

At the 2022 Westmorland County Show we were honoured and humbled to be awarded the “Best Craft” exhibitor award.

This wasn’t just based on how our stall was set up and designed, the judges asked about our ethos, our approach and our commitment to natural, environmentally positive production of wonderful hand crafted herbal soaps, shampoos and balms.

They loved our passion for sustainability and the fact all our products are plastic free, palm oil free and sold in recyclable or reusable packaging.

Humble Bumble – award winning herbal soaps, shampoos and balms!
